Kieran Lovelock Wins the Men's Club Championship

With scores of 67 and 69, Kieran Lovelock has won his fifth Club Championship.

Kieran Lovelock won his fifth Men's Club Championship and the Lord Parker of Waddington Cup yesterday with a final round 69 to follow his Saturday round of 67. Kieran's total of 136 placed him four shots ahead of David Corben, in second place on 140 (71,69), Tom Spreadborough in third on 142 (72,70) and Matt Laird in fourth on 143 (76,67).

Kieran, playing off scratch, also won the The Dick Hartley Trophy for the best 36 nett total. He finished three shots ahead of Matt Laird (HC 2, Nett 74+65=139), Gareth Roberts (HC 5, Nett 70+70=140) and Alan Harlow (NC 11, Nett 70+71=141).

The Neil Nugent Trophy for the best gross score in the second round of the Club Championships by a golfer aged 55 or over was won for the first time by James Rodger with a round of 75. James finished ahead of John Oliver and Nick Truss, who both shot 82.
