Hindhead's own David Corben won his seventh Devil's Punchbowl after a play-off against fellow home player Ben Patterson.
In Sunday's Devil's Punchbowl, Hindhead's Men's Scratch Open, both players tied on 36-hole totals of 141 (1 over par) David Corben (Hindhead) prevailed in a two hole play-off against fellow Hindhead Member, Ben Patterson.
Patterson had led by 3 shots following a morning 67, which was the best round of the day. He followed that up with an afternoon 74. Corben was steady throughout the day posting scores of 70 and 71.
Corben has now won seven Devil's Punchbowls, inlcuding five in a row from 2015 and ten Mungo Swanson Salvers, the trophy for Hindhead Members playing in the Open competition.
