Ladies Invitation Day (Shotgun Start 9.30am) Rules

TERMS OF COMPETITION FOR THE 2019 HINDHEAD GOLF CLUB LADIES’ INVITATION

1. FORMAT: The Ladies’ Invitation will be decided over one round of 18 holes of Stableford Betterball where the best two scores from four count in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Limited; the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the R&A Rules Limited; any the Local Rules of the course as approved by the Committee of Hindhead Golf Club. Play will be from the Red tees.
2. HANDICAP ALLOWANCES: 90% of handicap.
3. ELIGIBILITY: The 2019 Ladies’ Invitation is open to ladies’ pairs, one, who must be a Full, Five Day or Intermediate Member of Hindhead Golf Club, the other, that Member’s guest. Both players must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the R&A Rules Limited. All entrants must have a competitive handicap to a maximum of 36 to be eligible to win a prize.
4. ENTRY: Entry to the 2019 Ladies’ Invitation must be made by entering online at www.hindheadgolfclub.co.uk or completing the Entry Form and sending that to the Club Secretary, Hindhead Golf Club, Churt Road, Hindhead, Surrey, GU26 6HX and must be received by Friday 17 May 2019. Entries are limited to a total of 72 players and are accepted upon receipt. The entry fee of £48 per pair will be taken from Member’s Club Cards on 10th June 2019.
5. STARTING TIMES: Play will commence with a Shotgun start at 9.30am. Competitors will be advised of their starting tee in advance via email and on the Club’s website.
6. TIES: In the event of ties, results shall be determined by the best Stableford score over last 9 holes, 6 holes, 3 holes, final hole. If teams can still not be separated the prizes shall be shared.
7. GOLF BUGGIES: Buggies permitted for use at Hindhead Golf Club are one-person ride-on buggies only; the use of two man buggies is not permitted. Neither may the one-person buggies be used by those who do not meet the medical criteria. The safety of everyone using the Club’s facilities is of paramount importance and no one, Member, guest or visitor, may use a ride-on buggy at the Club until they have completed the required documentation and gained the written approval of the Club Secretary. Golf buggies are not available for hire.
8. PRIZES: Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
9. LOCAL RULES: The Local Rules applicable are as printed on the score card. Any changes from and additions to these Local Rules will be notified on the day of competition.
10. DRESS CODE: Smart casual attire is required in the dining room. Members and their Guests are requested to change out of their golfing attire. Golf shoes are not permitted on the first floor. Please note that the Gentlemen’s Locker Room will be made available for use on the day.
11. COMMITTEE: The 2019 Ladies’ Invitation is organised by the Committee of Hindhead Golf Club, which will rule on any dispute which may arise and its decision shall be final.
